ABOUT

Railside Golf Club

Quaint and accessible, Railside Golf Club is a landmark in the southwest Grand Rapids area. Our venue blends community and convenience, and features the small-town charm of Byron Center.

Club History

MKT Associates established Railside Golf Club in 1991 as part of a real estate development. In 1999, the members elected to purchase the Railside from MKT, and the Club became member owned. In 2009, it became privately owned when it was purchased by Railside Acquisition LLC. The golf course was designed by renowned  Michigan golf course architect, Jerry Mathews.

Today Railside Golf Club consists of an 18-hole golf course, driving range, swimming pool, accompanying children’s pool, full-service clubhouse, Union Pavilion event venue, pro shop, and golf course maintenance building to provide for the recreational enjoyment of our members and guests. In 1994,an expansion was completed to accommodate Club members’ growing needs.

In 2010 and 2011, the main clubhouse structure was completely gutted and remodeled, with updates made to the dining room, bar, kitchen, business office, locker rooms, and pro shop. Additional upgrades include a state-of-the-art conference room and duael level patio with outdoor seating and grill.
